    '90 tc have abs?

    hey guys i need to go get rotors for my mom's 1990 signature towncar how can i find out if this model has ABS or not?
    1999 CVPI
    Old Rides
    1988 Ford Mustang GT (trickflow stage 1)
    1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS (5.SLO)
    1989 Ford Thunderbird SC (3.8 Supacharged)

    Look for a sensor near the rear of the rotor, and also look for a gear-looking wheel thing in the back of the rotor as well...

    If no sensor, no ABS...

      I remember that there is a way on the digi-dash to check on startup. like if the ABS light is on during cranking or key on engine off. something to that extent. but i forgot exactly

          lol maybe so, but with snow on the ground and no garage its a little more of a hassle

            the letters ABS might be stamped on your brake pedal - easiest way would be to follow the brake lines out of the master cylinder. If you have ABS, there will be a big valve/electric module with many brake lines going in and out under the hood.

              Shit if there's snow on the ground just go down the street at about 30mph and hit the brakes hard, if the wheels lock, you don't have it.

                look for the abs wheel sensor wires in teh front man......if it has abs, that stuff will be next to the air ride compressor

                  Long dead thread, but if you have the hood open, and are looking at the engine, on the left hand inner fender well, there will be an ABS module that is marked "ABS"
