they came off a 300M - the guy found cheap stock alloys on ebay with new tires... somebody hocked the post-donk leftovers I guess.
The low profile tires you guys are running on the mustang wheels are expensive!!!
I found 225/60/17 in the $60 range though... they give a 28" diameter, simmilar to the 235/70/15 I have on the front of the 91 now. The size of the 300M tires was 215/65/17, about the same diameter. Im not sure about the wheel width... but its bound to be wide enough
I could put on some used 225/50/17's on the front... but they are like 25.5" diameter... BUT I wonder how they would handle... the 70's ride like balloons.
I need for get new tires for the 91 soon anyway... the fronts are lumpy and developing a bald spot... the rears have some tread but they are rediculously huge... c'mon tax check...
As far as fit... all the lug nuts seat well in the tapers... if you could "see" .35mm of offness, I guess you can see it, but it may just be me being paranoid... the hub center is damned close... if its anything its larger, and is nothing slipping a centercap wouldnt fill up, but it might not even have enough room. Im hoping it does have room for a cap... and Ive seen people run aftermarket wheels without the slip-in caps so it cant be too big of a deal...Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

the wheels sticky on CVN says the offset is right, and they didnt look out of place when i test fit them on the front.
It would have been pretty obvious from the test fit if they were to FWD offset right???Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

He mentioned them rubbing in the back and said it may have to do with his trunk being full of old rims and tires. If you have an elevated rake or are willing to roll in your fender (whatever the hell that means) you should be okay. Plus, the Panther looks to have alot of room for playing around in it's rear fenders anyways. He also said if he had gone down on his tire width it may have solved the problem, that he liked the "flared tire" look so he wasn't sure if he'd do that or not.
Maybe I paid too much attention. But I've been hoping to put some 16" steelies on my TC and go for the "cop car" wheel look. It reminds me of the old school ralleye wheels. So I am always keeping my eyes open for options.Back in the saddle again!

Hey now, I can assure you that the 300E was a fantastic car even by todays standards, the 96 300E we had was an awesome handler. It just needed more power/ stiffer anti-sway bars/springs, larger brakes. but stock it was a fun ride as well
Parts are expensive as hell with those cars might I add, I wonder if we could get away with a hemi 300E?

Also, those 17" steelies are really nice. Wow... I like those better than the new interceptor wheels.**2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302: 5.0/ 6 spd/ 3.73s, 20K Cruiser

I compared them to some 15" steelies I have and the backspace looks the same so I think Im clear there. I measured them at 7" wide too.
Chuck, if anything these wheels would sit in too far on my car, not out too far. They seem to be out too far on his becuase his fox LTD uses the FWD offset.
I compared the 225/50/17's to some 235/60/15's we have at the shop, and the 17's are just a hair shorter. I know monty has run 225/60/15 on SU and they didnt look way too short... the 50"s will look awefull skinny on the 17's though... but the contact patch is huge! Is this going to look freakish?? 60 profiles will go on the rear.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements
