    MFS replaced - 89 CV

I changed my MFS and windshield wiper switch yesterday. The high beams didn't work and the wiper switch was broken on the old ones. They came out of a 84 Towncar, look and act brand new. The 84 MFS has the horn button on it, but it worked fine on my 89. The wiper switch is the same.
Anyway when I pulled out the old MFS I found the plug for the headlights burned and black on the high beam side. I did the relay thing on the headlights last month and was glad I did. Just one more reason to relay the headlights.
89 CV LX 225/60 x 16 tires, CC819 rear springs, Front & rear sway bar, trans & PS cooler from 90 cop car. KYB shocks, F-150 on rear. Dual Exhaust w/ H pipe. Dark brown door panels, carpet, steering wheel, trim parts from a 87 Mer GM. Power front buckets from 96 Jeep Cherokee. LED'S front & rear. 3G Alt from a 97 Taurus wagon 3.0. Electric fan. Rear axle from a 97 PI 3.27 with disk brakes. Headlight relays.

Indeed. Couple that mod with an underhood fuse box and all will be nice and clean.

yeah the stock wiring was marginal at best 20 years ago, and its only gotten worse. I also have an 84 MF switch, though I used the 86 lever to get rid of the push-in ability for the horn. I don't have flash-to-pass anymore either, but thats not a feature I care enough about to change the switch again. The 84 switch has metal parts for the blinker cancel functions, where the 86 had plastic. One of the plastic parts actually broke on my original switch, which forced me to hold the blinker switch on for right turns.

Both the 84 switch's have a better "click" when I move them. I also added a fuse box for the headlight relay. I replaced the vac. can with a box from a 90 GM and used the relay holder for the relays. It was just easier that way.

you really need to make an RR thread. Your car has awesome stuff that you should show off.
