    Latest detail. *DUW*

well did some testing with 3m blackout tape and vht nightshades. Going to be redoing the 3m blackout tape because it didn't ahere correctly. As for the nightshades I am probably going to put at least 1 more good coat on the reverse and tail lights. Still gotta blend the touchup paint, but thats a little work in progress itself.

    Some teasers.

leds in front and back no strobes. traffic backer for tail lights and headlight flasher for front. all leds are red per state laws.

Here is a little update since I finished my rear end blackout. but need to figure out how to get rid of the brake cleaner residue and the touchup paint I messed up while using brake cleaner.

Use 2" striping tape. That is what we used on my dads merc. Those lines in the black don't look good at all. Redue the tint on the reverse lenses and clear your tails and the reverse lenses too. Then it will look good. Sorry to say but at this point it looks ricey.

I doubt that is possible. Any kind of solvent will craze (ie: haze) and possibly eat the plastic lenses. The only other option is to purchase another fascia and set of tail lamps and start over.

That is very true. He can wet sand it off, then polish them or clear over them to fill in the scratches.

ok wow....fuck that work. I am happy with the way the rear end looks right now. after 3 feet of distance you can't see the tape lines. on the chrome portions that is. I just want to remove my touchup paint without dmging the real paint. and then get the rest of the brake residue off of the fascia...a good question would. where would I buy a new taillight and fascia setup because ebay thats pricey. not to mention a rarity of fascias.

After I pressure washed the car and then used bug and tar remover...got some of it off. but still some work to be done. also took dremel buffer wheel to the driver side of the rear fascia. left the passenger to see if there is a difference.

alright I did some HARD 4000rpm buffing with "fix scratchout" from wallmart can't find any 3m compounds around town. bought some other stuff to try it out but man my rear looks sexxay. minus the touchup paint spots. removed all the brake cleaner residue though.
