    *New Pics* Grandma's 91 GS

    I installed gabriel hi-jackers and fabed a ram air with the stock air box. Just wanted to take some updated pics for viewing pleasure. Las run at the track was 17.24 with 3/4 tank of gas. My goal is to get into low 16's high 15's next year.






    Stock 91 Merc GM GS 5.0L EFI, AOD, 2.73 Open diff
    Current Best 1/4 Mile 17.175 = 165 RWHP 190 Engine HP

          If you want to bust into the 15's, I think you need to do a HO conversion, or just swap in a HO engine from a Mustang GT. I guess you could get into the 15's with a LOPO, but I don't know how it could be done.

              I still think the turbo idea sounds fun.

                I was .03 seconds from running a 15 second 1/4 with my lopo. A car with a decent frame that could hook would be able to do it with the same mods I had.
