    My new toy, 54 F100

Here's the pics of my 54 F100 I just bought. Needs a lot of work but I want to be cruising in it by my birthday in August!

Sorry man the hood and fenders need a lot of work. It'll probably get new flames or scallops but they'll be blue.

Don't know? Someone hand formed them into the hood. That's the whole reason the previous owner bought that front clip at a swap meet. He liked the scoops. Otherwise the truck would still have it's stock front clip which happened to be in better condition!

Awesome truck. I'm not sure i'm digging the 5-tone paintjob though.

Well some good news. I checked out the engine. The compression is good, oil pressure stays right around 45-60 psi, temp didn't get above 180 and the engine has a steady 14-16" of vaccum at idle. Which is pretty for that cam(if that's what it actually has ). Oh and I found out the issue with the dip stick. I was looking it over. the engine came out of a 70's truck with a center sump oil pan. The guy swapped in a rear sump pan and just put the original dipstick back in. So the dipstick hits the oil pan and that's why it keeps popping up. Oh and the boat gas tank in the box had old gas in it. It runs much better with fresh gas.

I need to do some fine tuning to the carb and the timing.

I'm ordering the missing rear window & weatherstriping, taillights and a few other little things today. And I'm also ordering a kwik wire wiring harness so I can rear wire the whole truck.
