I added some more oil today. Cleaned up the trunk, and cleaned the front part of the interior with (gasp!) Armour All wipes. It shines.
Also finally installed my black aero a-pillar covers (good luck finding sets of those) and the drivers side black moulding piece that goes around the hood release. I have one for the passenger side, but I have to re mount the digital converter box for my HD radio first. Then I can put that in.
Going to try and pull some black weatherstripping as well. And whatever else I can find.
    Tomorrow is Marauder day.

Today was a good day!! Washed and vacuumed the Tank.
Here's pics from the passenger a-pillar cover:

And here's the hood release cover in black:

No pic of the drivers side a-pillar cover because of bad lighting. And I have yet to install the cover opposite the drivers side hood release deally-thing.
      Yeah!

So, I'm moving my CVPI motor into my garage tomorrow. Thank God. Now, I can start futzing accordingly. When I get everything together, I might take a long weekend and do the swap. That would be nice.
Also going to the junkyard tomorrow. Looking to pull a 1994 MGM PCM and some more trim/weather stripping. And if there's a Mk VIII there, oh boy.
I might tear down the CVPI motor and rebuild it with a Teksid block. And sent the heads out to my buddies machine shop.
Well, at least the front end will be lighter. Around, what, 75-80 lbs? And hopefully it will still be efficient!!
        Until tomorrow!!

No junkyard run today. Oh well. Maybe saturday. And I still need to move my engine. Poop.

              I got something!!
Thanks to Jason and Scott for the timing chain cover. Now, I can keep my coil packs and get rid of the 3" hole in the cover.
Pics to follow, once it's removed.
But, since I cannot wait to put this motor in, I'm busy prepping everything.
Here is the before: (going through the parts washer)

And here is the during stage:

The after stage will be powder coated. Yes please!!

that cleaned up nicely. That old motor has some good parts left on it (from all the indicators, the shortblock is fine - the heads are hosed though.)

Annual State of the Tank Address:

2011 was a good year for the Tank. I drove it. A lot. Ending year mileage was 195,109 miles, with a total of 20,397 miles for the year.
Also, I surpassed 195,217 miles, which means I have officially put 100,000 miles on the Tank since I bought it 5 years ago. It does average out to 20k a year, but the mileage per year has been increasing a lot in the past few years.
Once again, I am happy to report that there were no major failures this year.

                  Issues that were resolved:
-Left rear brake caliper bracket was replaced
-Rear sway bar end links were replaced with Energy Suspension links
-Front sway bar end links were replaced
-All four window motors received new bushings
                  -Sealed the trunk

                  List of mods accomplished:
-Energy Suspension rear sway bar end links
                  -Electric fan relay control installed
-Installed black a-pillar covers, kick panels, and door sills.
                  -Silver Star reverse lights
-Silver Star front turn signal lights

                  This Year's Goals:
                  -Complete PI motor swap.
                  -Rebuild front end suspension
                  -Replace all the brake lines
-Replace all the fuel lines with steel braided lines (this includes a new inline AN-style filter)
                  -New custom billet fuel rails
-Install newly painted header panel, trunk reflector and grill
-Possibly have the car painted, with fenders replaced as well. This is not high on the priority list.

With the installation of the PI motor with come a host of new goodies and upgrades. Such as:
                  -70mm Throttle body (FYC)
                  -ported upper plenum
-Ford Racing A/C delete kit #FMS-M-19216-D46
                  -Rear cat delete
                  -Possibly adding under drive pulleys

That is all I can think of for now. 200k is right around the corner. As well as the powder coating operation. This will be a great year.
Look for the black and green Tank to be making some excellent aesthetic mods this year!
I hope every mang and womang has a great year with their families, jobs, and rides.

No pics. For now. Bled the whole braking system. No more ewwy-gooey dark colored fluid. And I put a new caliper on the left rear. The car stops wonderfully.
My only problem now is the snow outside. Oh, well. It's winter. I live in Buffalo. Ya kinda of expect it.
                                Life is good.
