    March Update

So it was a rather fun month.
Bought a bunch of goodies for the Tank.
Installed new rear ceramic brake pads. Put some newer weather stripping on. Got hit by a Caravan.
Things to look forward to this month:
-A ton of Lime Green powder coated items making their way to my engine bay and such
-More parts for the engine swap showing up
-17" 5-spoke Mustang wheels for a big brake swap
-Front suspension rebuild (to include ES bushings)
    Wooo!
Most of the fun stuff will happen in April. Like the proposed engine swap and big brake upgrade. But let's face it. I still have a crap-ton of parts that need to be powder coated for these 2 projects!
Also, I have 2,050 miles to go until 200k. A few hockey games this month, the Van Halen concert on Friday, and I'm going to Ottawa on Saturday for a Sabres game will help me get there faster.
Alas, the Tank is headed up to Quebec on Saturday.
    That is all.
Until more pics come up, take it easy Panther-mangs

      A/C Delete Install

Ok, so I finally installed my A/C Delete kit that I powder coated Lime Green. It's a near dead match to Grabber Green. Which is a really, really good thing.
Pics of the old, stinky, dirrrrty compressor:

And pics of the new one installed:

Right off the bat, I noticed an increase in throttle response. The engine revs up a bit quicker and feels better. Which makes me happy.

On another note, since I had the belt off, I hand spun all the pulleys. Turns out, my idler pulley was quite sticky. Like goo bearings. So, it shall be replaced later today, in less than 5 minutes. Because, let's face it; that's how I roll.

      Ok,
      Peace.

Idler pulley has been replaced. A lot less squeek now.
I need to do an oil change tonight, with filter. Finally.
Also need to bleed the brakes.
And I bought a pair of Pioneer 6x8's for the front because they're 20 years old and blown like a boss.
So it should sound much better come this evening's drive home.
            Yea.

those Pioneer 6x8s in my 93 pound nicely. (3 ways)
matched up with some 4-way 6x9s in the rear... that system sounds pretty good even without subs. Though according to Thain... there's some issues with the front speakers (which may have to do with wire issues since i used the deep boom mat baffles instead of the shallow ones for weatherproofing - maybe pulled something loose).

Made it back. And I have my efficiency back. I went from 20.5 to 24.5mpg. The big reason its only 24.5 is because I was doing 80+ the whole time.
And the throttle response felt great. It hauled ass during highway passing and such.
                        Good times.

                          I'm getting the itch.
Soon the CVPI motor is going in. I'm going to pick up a FRPP Intake on Friday. I'm picking up the wheels in a few more weeks when I'm down in the Philly area.
I'm ordering more gaskets on Friday. That should be it for gaskets. I have my oil pan. It should be powder coated this weekend. But I can't decide if it should be satin black or high gloss black. I have new motor mounts, gaskets, more gaskets, plenum, throttle body, EGR Delete, timing chain cover, the list goes on.
This will be documented like a boss.
And I'm going to go snag the 93-94 engine harness from my buddies yard and modify that one to accept the CVPI motor.

                          I need something.

I NEED 96-97 AERO FUEL RAILS.
                          NEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!

No luck in the yards up year. So, if anyone stumbles across a set, I will pay you for them, shipping and finder's fee.

I'm probably getting it dynoed in a few weeks as a baseline for before and after.

                          Wowsers!

There may be a couple 96-97s in my local yard. I have the fuel line removal tools here somewhere too. I've never pulled them before, are they pretty easy?
