Yearly update

It just occured to me that I haven't done a yearly update for the Tank.
So,
Ending mileage was, 220,6XX. I don't remember, because I was at Nick's for New Years. Smashing good time.
I finally got it back on the road this year and installed the PI intake in it. Which was nice.
Then added green and black wheels, installed propper electric fan wiring and relays, A-pillar gauge pod with functioning Tach and Vacuum gauge. Also added a bunch of ecomods. Mostly weight reduction and exterior panels.
Also, installed a crap ton of LEDs.
And started stripping it and primering it.
Blew everyone's minds with a 17.68 @ 82 mph.

Then it developed a crappy misfire that I let go because I didn't have the time troubleshoot it.
It ended up being a bad spark plug wire that only had 4,000 miles on it. They should not fail that early.
Anyways, it finally came back online towards the end of November. I think.
Well, hopefully, I can get the PI motor swapped in and maybe even the block swapped.
That would be swell.

Annual State of the Tank Address

I didn't make a really good post last time, so here's the for serious version.
Starting year mileage was 214,752, with an ending mileage of 220,621. That's a total of 5869 miles. For the year.
The year.
The WHOLE YEAR.
Well, you can see what happened since I bought the Lincoln. I still plan on driving the Tank into the ground.

This past year, I fixed:
-Intake manifold issue
-Spark plug wire issue
- i know there was more, but I'm at a loss right now.


Mods:
-PI intake manifold
-75mm throttle body
-A-pillar gauge pod
-Propper wiring
-Weight reduction for hypermiling
-Lower front grille block
-LEDs. LEDs everywhere!


Here is last years Goals:
-Complete PI motor swap.
-Rebuild front end suspension
-Replace all the brake lines
-Replace all the fuel lines with steel braided lines (this includes a new inline AN-style filter)
-Install newly painted header panel, trunk reflector and grill
-Possibly have the car painted, with fenders replaced as well.

This is how many were completed:

OK, so here's the list of things that I would like to get done:
- Swap a Teksid block into the PI motor. Yes please, I'll take a 84 lbs reduction in weight.
- PI Torque converter to match the flywheel. It's a good thing there's one in my basement.
- Run all the new brake and fuel lines.
- fix the damn fenders
- paint the car. Two tone.
- powder coat the 17"s and get new rubber for them
- new springs and suspension bits.
- rebuild the front end.
- replace the rear speakers
- eco-mods; panel the bottom, weight reduction,etc
- fix the random no-start issue.
- beat John at ScottFest
- paint the damn thing. Maybe....

That's all I can think of for now. It kinda sucks being away for so long, but I will deal with it accordingly. All I can do is count down the days until I get home and can drive my cars again.

Next on the list is KYB Gas-A-Just and some ES bushings.

Bought 4 KYB Gas-A-Just shocks from RockAuto today. $145 total. Oh, and there's a buy 4 get $40 back rebate going on for KYB shocks until April 30th. So all four only cost $105.
Win.
Next? Energy Suspension bushings and Moog springs.

Ok, maybe not those exact items next.
I loaded my cart up in RockAuto of stuff I need, and wouldn't you know, the Fel-Pro head gaskets I need were reduced from $34.79 each to $20.79 each?
Save $14 per gasket? And there were only 1 of each left?
Needless to say, those head gaskets are also on the way.

Just ordered a set of Energy Suspension front end bushings in black. Yeah, black.
Not fucking red.
But black.
Because grabber green and red don't work on a black car.
The black bushings on grabber fucking green control arms and spindles will look like hot fire.
Deal with it.
