Unfortunately I cannot answer your questions but I am very curious to hear what your 351 runs with just upgraded pulleys and exhaust. My 302 with exhaust and better breathing intakes ran a 16.75. Always wondered how a turd 351 compares to a turd 302. lol

haha that's about how I expect to run. If I'm in the low 16s at STAP I'll be more than happy. low 17s wouldn't surprise me.

I ran 16 flat in my red sedan with the 4bbl swap, full exhaust, 3.73s and very ill shifting AOD.

I will be fixing that shifting issue shortly. I will see how the SOTP performance changes.

that's about my goal with the holley and intake. In theory at least, my vic should be 2-300 pounds lighter than the red box.

            How do you figure that?

            I don't weigh 500 lbs.

the listed curb weight and option list keeps going up and up as the years go on. about a 400 pound difference between a 91 and an 85. I don't know where the difference is, but I have basically no weight-adding options beyond power windows and lock.

true. But it does seem to be a constant that all trim levels got heavier as they went on.

I'd rather run a 16.5 in a mostly stock 351, then a 16.5 in a wagon with ported e7's, explorer intakes, aftermarket cam, headers, and 3.55's.

Nice vid! I ran with open headers (through a Y-pipe though) in my old Malibu for half a semester while my jammed shoulder healed up. It wasn't bad cruising on the highway. Everything in between though.......... Then there was the flames coming out from under the car during decelaration. I didn't understand why people were pointing at me at night. Your CV looks like it will be a lot of fun during and after your build-up process. N-JOI!

I know it's a n00b question but I'm still stuck on getting the crank pulley off. Is the part that the A/C belt rides on all one piece with the part that the accessory belt rides on, or do I need to separate them? They look separate but that seems weird. I don't wanna get too mean and bend something.

I've got the exhaust (mostly) sorted. currently dumping right at the mufflers.

2 1/2 BBK catted H-pipe, BBK shorty headers, mustang extension pipes+ 8ish inches added on, then thrush weldeds.

I'm not 100% happy with the sound, but here's a quick video of it. It's not warmed up there, hence the throttle blipping while I sat.

haha yeah, it came out pretty quiet, I didn't realize my speakers were cranked. thanks, it does look pretty spiffy there.

Quick update. I have the crank pulley from the underdrive pulley kit. It required a .875 spacer to fit. The March Fox mustang waterpump pulley does not fit and is the same size as stock anyway. May put the alternator pulley on later but I think I'm on the edge of headlight flickering as it is.

This is also quiet, but just crank the sound up and you'll hear it clearly. You get a reasonable idea of how the exhaust sounds from the inside.

It's got a slight lean miss right before it shifts. I think the exhaust just opened it up too much for the computer to compensate.
