My '90 LTD Crown Vic

I cut the rubber band up and stretched it over the much larger magnets on the new Kenwoods. I don't know if they're going to hold like that forever since it took some stretching and there are slices in the rubber but whatever...It works and I'll fix it if it breaks.

The new speakers sound awesome. The little baskets that are held under them with a piece of wire even fit properly. One of the speakers sounds wonky at certain frequencies that I can't really nail down. Not always. Oh well, they sound grand.

I couldn't get the rubbers on my 6x9's the first go-round, but the 2nd go-round I had the back seat out, and that have me a good position to get some force on them.
I think I put my thumbs on the rear fire wall or the trunk-lid torque bars or something and used the freakish hand strength you get from working on cars all day to pull them to the forward hook.

I just climbed in the trunk to do that work.

Side story. I closed myself inside the trunk multiple times while installing the trunk muncher. Sorta scary. Luckily I have remote trunk pop!

I'm always afraid of locking myself in the trunk when I work in there. I make sure to bring my cellphone to call for help.

I made sure to leave my tire iron sitting on the lip of the trunk so it wouldn't be able to close anyway


probably would have been easier with the full size spare out of the way. I've never even had that thing out of the car...don't think it's ever been used....I wonder if it's any good

I was actually crazy nervous that he'd turn into a big ball of kitten energy and start attacking the gaskets.
