I believe they are a form of Rivet. Double sided tape is risky. Could also just tack weld the upper part of a small nail of the same dimensions if metal work is already being done-Phil

Just drill a hole and rivet the trim clips in place. Use 1/8" rivets. Done it a million times. WagonMan89 Colony Park

Perfect, rivets def seem the most straight forward.
pooped my cherry with the inside of a door. I see the door lock actuators that a are bunk. Both of the plastic connections literally dissolved, by the rod connection.
Are these the replacements?
