    Crash pad/ Dash

We call the dash, the service manual calls it a 'crash pad'.

Mine is splittin real good now after these past winter months.
I was thinking of fabricating a wooden dash with a veneer finish like the plastic trim.

Or for even longer project even just replacing the plastic trim altogether with some nice wood.

The problem being, the plastic panels look like walnut. HERE is $232 of trial and error.

Unless I can find an NOS dash, wood is the next best thing in my mind.

Wood would be nice. Dunno about it being called a crash pad, thing is hard enough it would probably split your head in half if you slammed into it in a crash lol
