    Welcome!
Great looking wagon! My mufflers should arrive today, maybe I can put my exhaust back together on my wagon by this weekend.

Thanks! The plaque on the door is the original owner's initials that was available from the factory at the time of purchase. Options are Leather interior ,WSW Michelin 225/15Belted tires, tilt steering wheel, automatic speed control, 6-way power seats with passenger recliner, power door locks, electric rear window defroster, AM-FM stereo radio, power antenna, appearance protection group, and remote control deckled release. The Sure-Trac brake system was standard in '71.

I was going to upload a pic of the original window sticker, but I get an error message when I try.

So then I was ready to post this reply and I got a message that said I had to include a picture. Anyway, this one of the interior worked.

That thing looks to be the epitome of clean. The window sticker would be neat to see. It's a miracle it survived. How does that braking system work and more importantly, what are the differences in it? Mark VII's got a unique brake booster thingy Posi trac? Six way power seat and passenger recline, rare in those days. Rear defrost too, what state is it from? No auto headlight dimmer or A/C?

Thanks. Lincoln's "Sure-Trac" system and ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) are both related to preventing wheel lock-up, but they differ in their complexity and capabilities. Sure-Trac, introduced by Lincoln in the 1970s, was an early form of anti-skid braking, while modern ABS systems are more sophisticated and offer a wider range of features. It's still working well. Also, the Mark VII uses a Teves brake system.Unlike most conventional brake systems, the Teves brake system does not use a vacuum booster to supply power assist (power brakes). It uses a pump that is powered by a 12 volt electric motor to provide hydraulic power assist.

The car does have AC but no auto dimmer. It was bought new in Nevada and moved to Southern California in 1980.
