Hey everyone, my name is Zach and I am new to your forum. At the beginning of the year I finally found the land yacht of a car I have been wanting for some time now . . a 1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series. It is silvery gray with the half-vinyl roof and was garaged all it's life. It's a gorgeous car that I plan to keep as stock as possible, as I am not into raising/lowering, huge wheels, scary stereos or anything like that. I just turned 20, and this is my second car, my other being a red 2001 Lincoln LS. I love these older, large 4-door sedans, and I look forward to all the knowledge this forum has in store for me. So far, I have replaced the alternator, water pump, both belts, heater core (pain in the ass job), all 4 tires, all 4 wire hub caps were replaced with a much plainer Lincoln set as the wire hub caps were in bad condition and made noise. I have gotten all 4 power windows working, had to drill them out and replace the gears - I am sure you all know that job all too well. Flushed trans out and replaced filter and fluid, flushed radiator and cooling system, new thermostat, a few new lightbulbs, and other various odds and ends. The rear air suspension has been remade, the air pump bypassed and removed with my own system where you can add/remove air to the rear from a nozzle above the license plate - works awesome. New front shocks, the AC system is under repair as I type this - the compressor was shot. I think that sums it up to current times anyway. The radio is dead right now, as most of these older ford radios seem to do .. but when it worked the stock Premium Sound sounded great. All power door locks work, all power windows work, the power antenna works, power trunk lid pull-down works. It has just under 100,000 miles. Engine seems very strong, I had to replace the IAC motor and valve due to stalling and rough idling - smoothed it right out. Awesome older car, I love seeing that long hood and Lincoln hood ornament out in front of me.

my car starts and it has AC. Yours doesn't start and it has no AC. Seems obvious to me.
