    Howdy from Texas

    Howdy, Y'all!

    Thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Royce, and I live near Houston. I;ve always liked Mercurys - My first was an old '67 Cougar XR-7 (wish I still had it...but sold to a friend years ago and never saw it again). In college I started driving my faimily's '87 Cougar 20th Anniversay Edition (still have her). And my first new car to purchase myself was a '97 Cougar 30th Anniversary Edition (still have her, too).

    Which brings me to why I'm here: I was SO SAD when Ford announced the end of Mercury back in June, I started thinking about getting one last one. So I did. May I present to you my new baby, a 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis LS:

            That would be fun. I've actually driven the '87 a few times all the way up to Youngstown, Ohio several of the past summers for a little get-together called Cat Jam.

            It's a little over a 3000-mile trip for me when I go. It's always fun and I've made some good friends there. A Texas meet would be easy!
