A few months ago I bought this 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis GS for 750$. It has 70,XXX miles on it, and the underside is incredibly clean for a MI car. I initially planned on flipping it for profit, but after seeing the condition of the car I had to keep it, much to the displeasure of my father. I have always wanted a box, especially after seeing Pantera's collection of awesome, so I am incredibly pumped to get to work on it.

The paint is obviously quite faded and chalky, but I have cleaned it up since snapping the pics. I plan on converting the car to a slicktop, and while I am at it I will get it painted black. The interior will remain completely stock minus some gauges, however I have large plans for the engine and chassis:

I have, (had), a 2006 P71 that ended up in very lackluster condition, but I still have the frame and drivetrain. I know it is a commonly talked about, yet never done swap, but I think it is very doable given the situation.
For the engine I am thinking a decently built 351, or possibly something bigger. I have a GT500 M122 sitting around, so that may make a surprise appearance.
Since I totaled my 06' P71, I have been gathering parts to put in a GT500 5.4 drivetrain, along with a nascar style rollcage, and a ton of other ridiculous crap. Given my current student income, I have realized that the DOHC 5.4 is vastly out of the picture in terms of cost, and while not cheap, I might be able to swing a built 351.
As far as my other cars go, I have a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis LS, a 2006 P71 (sortof), and a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion:

Enough of my rambling, I am looking forward to learning a lot about Boxes.
