Hi there folk's, I just bought my very first ever Mercury Grand Marquis today. 1992 to be exact & I stumbled upon this site by googling 1992 marquis & came across a video by "lincolnmaniac" & as he was recording his video he verbally stated after he uploads his video he was heading to grandmarq.net, sounded interesting so I followed the link and voila! So I hope to learn a bunch about these vehicles as I have this weird feeling imma be doin sum handy work to this vehicle as the days/months pass by.... Give ya the quick run down, its a 1992 w/ the 4.6L V8, owner "States" it only has 72,xxx miles on it, hmmm, I kinda have a hard time feelin this but maybe its true? Dunno exactly how to be sure of it other than just driving it as long as humanly possible, lol. Test drive ran GREAT, rode down the street beautifully, like a cadillac sum would say, lol. Got sum minor blemishes, staind carpet flooring, window reg's in two doors dont work properly, the cold/heat slider is kinda sketchy, gotta push in a lil' hard to slide it properly & last but not least the primary panel holding the window switches etc. on drivers door has broken clips under it so its loose just sitting there. So, there ya have it, so nehoo, nice to meet ya folk's. Look forward to getting to know all of ya as time passes by as lil' things w/ this car continues bringing me back here which im sure they will, lol.

Known issues? 2-3 gear shimmy (torque converter). If you have it, you'll know
It will eventually burn up the valve seals. Once it starts emitting the blue cloud out the exhaust, it's time to do the valve seals.
Just keep up with the general maintenance, and it should last you quite sometime.
