    New from Long Island, NY

I just stumbled across this site yesterday, figured I'd register/stop in...

I have a few cars, but I've had my '90 Grand Marquis about 13 years now, and it has been in the family since new when it was originally purchased by my grandparents.

The car is in completely original condition (the original charcoal inlayed Turbine wheels are in the garage on the original Michelin XZ4's, NOS '91 silver inlays are on the car now).

I don't use the car in any type of bad weather, and it turns heads at local cruise-ins because you just never see these cars around much anymore...

What a beautiful car! I love the colour - although I'm somewhat biased

Very awesome that it's a family car since new, too. Very rare for something to be well-kept through multiple generations. How many miles on it? Leather?

I'd have a very, very tough time resisting this one if it ever came up for sale...

        Thanks!

Just recently rolled 22k miles, yes leather, factory mats, etc

Was that '85 Cartier on ebay recently? If so, I was looking over that listing pretty carefully... If so, VERY nice...

I see you have a Diamond Jubilee - nice, my dad had a '78 Pucci for years... Great car!

That's incredible. You're very lucky to carry the torch with this family heirloom! Post some pics of the interior when you get the chance. In fact, I don't think anyone here would get tired of seeing pictures of your car, from any angle

Yes, Mike made several attempts with the '85 on eBay over the past 6 months or so. Apparently the bidding got very close to his threshold on the last round. He was going to list it at $2950 no reserve next April - his proverbial "clearing of the log jam" - and once I saw the car, I couldn't miss out on it. The fact that I own it now still hasn't totally sunk in

The Pucci editions were nice - probably the rarest of the Designer series. What became of your grandfathers (fathers, my bad)? My Jubilee is a long-term project, it needs C-pillar sheetmetal which I am sourcing from a slicktop parts car that is badly rotted in the floors/frame/fenders. I have most of an almost perfect interior (donor had 60k and sat on grass for 15 years) for it, and the rest of the body is solid as a rock.

I will post some interior pics from my home computer when I can...

Congrats on the '85, stunning car!

My dad had the '78... He sold it back in early 2005... Have not heard anything on its whereabouts but I keep looking, haha... Was a fully optioned 460 car with sunroof and Quadrasonic with factory CB!

I would like to get a new (as correct as possible) hood lining... I know there is a guy on ebay who sells liners for all different cars, but the material is completely different...

This is the original:Click image for larger version

If we're talking about the same guy on EBAY, both Dave and I have both gotten them and they are VERY nice (and Dave may be more picky than I, if that is possible)!!

                    Welcome.

Yeah. I did buy from that guy. Not the same material as new, or thickness for that matter (new one is MUCH thicker) but it is a nice piece none the less.

Is it molded like original, or just cut to shape?

Cut to shape. It comes in a foot square bag. Once opened it flattens right out. Like was mentioned it is very thick.

Like others mentioned, that car does look new.
Sounds like you plan on keeping it that way, very awesome.

I would like to hear more about the hood liner, mine's not in the best shape and once I'm done I want that to look good.
