Not too sure what to think... 1979 LTD 2 door

    Hey folks!

This one is a little outside my catchment area, but I thought I would bring it to the attention of the group.

I'm personally on the fence. Lots that I like about it, lots that I don't. Is it anyone's here??

I'm with you buddy, not entirely sure how I feel about this. Probably a pretty fun little driver, but just kind of a bunch of conflicting accoutrements. Looks like a hot rod done by an old guy in the '80s, especially that paint and the funny little wing. Cool that somebody went to the trouble I guess. Hell for a dollar, I'd buy it.

I think the things that I like about it far outweigh the things I don't like. The things I don't like can be easily changed anyway.

Flat Rock is a bit of a drive, but There are a couple of decent junk yards down that way. If I had free time I'd offer to go check it out with you.
Although the ad doesn't say what the owner expects to get for it, and from the pictures I would expect something well out of my price range (even if reasonable).

Bad part about modifications is that they do show their age. Kinda like kitchens. Needs remodeled.

Another no factory a/c car I think.

I've seen that car for sale before, was in Ohio last I saw it IIRC. When they don't list an asking price it's because they think someone will give them an absurd amount of money for it. Let me see, I hate the spoiler, homebrew hackjob center console, humongous tach, stick on door speakers, painted bumpers and lack of options. I like that it's a two door.

The generally cleaned up engine bay is nice, but beyond that, it only has the fact it is a two door going for it. It would need the spoiler removed, unpainted bumpers put back on, the column shifter replaced, remove the tacky interior add-ons, and give it a fresh paint job.

                  stripes are horrible
                  needs exhaust pipes
                  floor shifter conversion not bad
no AC, complete fail. I don't think its factory either, that sure looks like an evaporator case and the usual climate control head to me.

That's the bizarre thing about factory no AC panthers, they have an evaporator core housing but no evaporator core.
I can't tell for certain based on those pictures though. I thought it was factory but looking again I'm not sure.

Id rock it with that paint scheme. Kinda dig it. The rest...not so much.

It is a major headache the seller is dumping on a person who does not know hot rods.
