    fixed: the 2 t-30 bolts holding the L bracket to the shift cable at the end of the shifter in the column were loose. Tightening those things blindly is a PITA, but that car shifts cleanly once again... no more hunting to find the proper gear.

        If you turn the key and nothing happens for a few tries its probably your starter connections that are gettin corroded. My 94 did that, I had it towed home and next thing I knew it started. I was PO'd and figured it was the Neutral Safety Switch so I replaced it and it didnt help. I was gettin very frustrated with it until my old man noticed the starter had a lotta corrosion around the connections so he cleaned it up and I never had a problem after that.
