I was going to call BS in that statement Mike, but I bit my lip. There is just no way that could happen, but as I am working on my car now, I was putting my alt back on and noticed black marks at the tips of each alternator fin, and what do ya know. They were all bent up. So I'm gonna have to back you up on that now, slow down the pullies if you have an HO!!!! I went ahead and put a larger alt pully on for now. I guess as soon as I have the funds I'll be purchasing that UD pully.

Since you guys are talking about pulleys and belts ..We wanted to take the A/C out of vicky and I had a few ideas but the car isnt here right now for me to look at and describe what the ideas are But it involves power tools...Ideas anyone?

If I remember correctly the only things on that belt are the AC and the smog pump. Just remove both of them.

I have an HO with a non-functional AC, so I only run 1 belt right now. I guess I'm a prime candidate for one of these. Will it free up any power/ allow the car to rev easier? Also I was wondering why a Mustang 5.0 Underdrive crank pulley wouldn't work on our cars?

Well for starters Mustangs use only one belt, so if installed in a Panther their UD crank pulley will only turn half of your accessories. Since you don't have a smog pump and you obviously don't care about the A/C you should be able to run a Mustang pulley, I'm pretty sure it'll line up with the alternator and the water and PS pumps.

Are yous sure about that? I would want to verify that before I spend the money. I am not sure about 93 back Mustangs, but the 94-95 crank pully is closer to the engine than even the back pully is on our cars.

Look into the trucks & vans too, I know our old 96' F150 had a set of under drive pulleys on it.

Get an electric smog pump. And the smog pump actualy will not effect sensor tests. The smog pump only causes the CATs to start working sooner. And since all emissions test are required to be run on a warm car, it will still pass without it. Unless they do a vidual inspection. But if you get an electric one you don't have any worries.

I have a friend with a '92 Mustang GT, will try to measure it for you some time next week. It's such a clutter under that hood tho, pain in the ass to get to anything.

So, that means what - does the Mustang crank pulley work with the Panther accessories on the driver side?
