Looks like the adjustable fuel pressure regulator did it's job. I backed the pressure at idle w/vacuum to 30psi. Car does not stall anymore on decel. Finally have decent drivability with great performance. Off idle response is better also. Car should be a friggin beast with a tune. Milage will probably go up a bit also, and I was getting 22 before!

30 psi w/vaccum is with in factory spec and usually what my cars run.
this makes me wonder what the fuel pressure was with the stock, non adjustable regulator?2003 Town Car Signature - 3.27 RAR, Dual exhaust and J-mod - SOLD 9/2011

Hm maybe thats part of why my car runs too rich. I think my idle psi is about 32-33.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

I backed off the fuel pressure about 1/2 turn and it stopped the wandering idle. Not sure what thats set to since I don't have a pressure gauge here. I do believe it was set to 40 psi with no vacuum, and if memory serves it had about a 6 psi swing, putting it around 33-34 psi with vacuum. Exhaust still stinks of richness but not quite as much. There is a lot wrong with my car, but I'm not overly concerned. Heads are to be shipped out Monday and if I can get all my stuff together, head swap in the next couple weeks will be happening.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
