You have to come out for the mini Massachusetts meet. Go to the GMN Events forum. We're still planning it. We're shooting for Mid April, early May. Maybe the Auburn Mall. 83tc is going to attend and I think he's from Springfield too. Any and every GMN member is welcome to attend.

My worst enemies are those who presume me to be harmless. They cannot imagine how much I resent and disdain them, or just how great a threat they would face if I could get at them. Everything in their behavior speaks of insult and presumptuousness, and for now it is all I can do to make constructive use of my anger toward them. At this time, I just make a list of them and keep a watch on. Some day, with the help of time, space, and circumstance, I will be able to humiliate them properly - not in a manner they would enjoy, but in a style calculated to make them wish that they had never been born.

New?! The CV was the original!
A little over 4.5 years ago, I wrecked my high school graduation present, a 1996 Thunderbird LX. It was a week after graduation. My parents told me if I wanted another car, I had to buy it myself. So I did.
Worked my balls off that summer and just before leaving for college, my mom told me to check a particular parking lot where there are randomly cars for sale. I'd had dreams about how cool it would be to have a huge fucking station wagon with a V8, but I'd want it to be silver with a dark blue interior (Why? I don't know.) and I would be way too picky. Well, I went to the parking lot and there sat a 1989 Ford LTD Crown Victoria station wagon. I bought it for $2800, which was WAY too much money, even though it appeared to be in pristine condition. My 4-hour one-way drives all the way to college and back twice a month quickly started revealing issues and I've never had it running perfectly since- never had the time or money to go through both the engine and transmission as I wanted to do.
Thanks to these jackasses, I haven't driven the damn thing in four months because they talked me into doing this particular fucking motor...
Edit: Oh- and running a rough grand total, after three new engines and three transmissions, complete new exhaust, complete new A/C, etc... I have over $15,000 invested in mine.2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.
1992 Explorer Eddie Bauer, slight lift, 34s, and A/C...
1979 Bronco Custom, 351M/C6/NP205, 4" lift, 35s, lots of fender trimming.

Wow, quite an accomplishment. It really takes effort (and balls) to sink $15K into '89 Panther. I think I got ~$1200, including the price of the Cragar wheels and tires. Of course, mine is about 1/10 as cool as yours, so I guess that explains the tenfold difference in prices.1990 Country Squire - under restoration

I think panther + t-5 = teh win. I don't think you can go wrong with 5 speeds and a GT40 motor in a panther. You have the comfort and safety of a luxury wagon with the fun factor of a mustang.
Current rides - 1991 Ford Thunderbird 3.8 v6 (gas saver/DD) - New Heads/Headgaskets with ARP studs, Air Silencer Delete, 70mm MAF, Plasti-dipped Matte Black with a Silver Metalflake Overlay, Muffler Delete, some LED's, 30.233 MPG for high MPG average!
2006 Jeep Wrangler 4WD (fun vehicle/backup DD) - 4.0/6spd - too many mods to list.
Associated Panthers:
Father's 1994 Ford Crown Victoria - Stock, 45,000 miles.
Sold in 2007 - 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis LS "Grandpa Special" 2 door.
