For the record, guys, it's a GT-40P. Why be a bitch and specify? Because I had to spend another $300 on headers and plug wires because of these fucking spark plugs...
I appreciate all the support, even though this isn't even my thread.

I just hope it's actually halfway quick.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been attracted to the panther line for a long time since my dad has been driving them for as long as I can remember (minus the sable station wagon beater.) But since purcharing my '88 last year I haven't done much beside clean it up and get her running well. Need to do some body work. But now not even a year later I have my sites set on another panther. '91 CVPI 351. So I may have two panthers under my belt in the coming months. 83Tc I'll catch you online sometime if I need help. I'm In South Hadley, but my car is living in Hatfield at the moment. I'm frequently in Granby so I've probably seen you around.

              Thanks again, Dave

Get the 1991 and use that one for your performance ride. Keep the 88 stock so you can have a reliable DD.

That is the plan. I'm gonna need to work on the Merc, This past weekend I drove her around a bit like I do about once a week and I start her and let her warm up for a bit everytime I'm there. But I did a full tune up about 4 months ago but she hasn't been out much. Well now she is developing a rough Idle and sounds like she wants to stall for about 10-15 minutes until she warms up and then it goes away for the most part. Any ideas on what would cause that? I understand she's old but she runs strong besides that. Also what do you guys think about that Cylinder wall restore stuff? If you've seen it. I just saw a commercial on the Tv but the site they give is apparently under construction. RestoreUSA.Com. Anyone use it before?

comes in a soda can lookin thing, called "restore, looks kinda bluish gren, as far as i can tell it works well, brought compression up from 9.8 to 10.1 in my old s10, and definatly made the lincoln run better

I tried it in mine, didnt really help mine too much. I didnt notice any difference. It was knocking at startup when it was ultra cold out, then I changed the oil with out adding the restore again and the knock went away.

Alright thanks, Just saw the commercial when I was posting last. I'll look for it next time I'm at the parts store and if it isn't to expensive I'll pick some up and give it a shot. As for my rough Idle/ knocking problem any Ideas?

Yeah I think it is time to buy the 351 Vic. But the Knocking is only at idle. I can drive the car and the motor sounds and feels healthy. Minus the exhaust leak making it sound like a loud anoying truck...
