I usually get 20k or so out of a set of plugs. I check the cap and rotor and replace as needed, but I'd guess about the same life. If it starts to run weird, I start checking things though.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Cool...I've never done any of the stuff (besides replacing an air filter) myself. I am looking forward to trying it all myself...it all SOUNDS straightforward but I bet I could fuck it upsigpic

I check my junk when I feel like it. If it looks bad, I replace it.
I do try to do biannual oil changes, though. My stuff sees way too many short trips to try to get 3000 miles per change.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

I got well over 50,000 miles (5 years) on my last set of plugs, wires, cap/rotor. And they all looked and worked perfectly when I replaced them. I had Ford Racing 9mm wires, MSD cap/rotor, Motorcraft plugs. I got all the same parts except for the plugs, I now run NGKs. And through a mishap in shipping from Summit, I got a second set of everything for free, so in another 5 years, I'm all set for another tune up.
