Would a mustang under drive pulley for a 5.0 work? Im just asking because there are a few I know of cheap around here, granted they are used.

muustangs and mk7's only have one belt.......if you didnt have ac, it might work, but you would have to space out the pulley to line up with the accys i believe

Like I said in the other thread.... as long as you stick with a stock camshaft, you should have NO piston to valve interference issues.

you should have even less problems with a P head, because the exhaust valve is tiny bit smaller.

BTW... ASP racing claims you get full charge at 850 RPM with under drive pulley. so if you sit in traffic idling a lot, you may want to keep your foot on the gas a tad.

upgrading the stock alternator to a 3G is always a good idea. less fires that way.

Couldn't he make it work by switching to the mustang/mark VII waterpump (reverse rotation) and accessory/pulley arrangement?

moving the ac compressor and getting custom hoses made is going to cost more than the panther underdrive pulley.............i've done it already.....but instead used explorer accys....not worth the trouble if you ask me
