bah he could get away without the hot wrench, no? Apply enough heat to it with some Map or acetylene gas in an hand held torch from homedepot. Apply nice heat (get cherry red) to the nuts/bolts and then unbolt. Sure the hot wrench would be easier but who know what else get caught in the fury.

i may save this job for you then if i can't get them off. I needed new cats because mine were rotted on the top so they always rattled. and one is an aftermarket cat and doesn't fit properly on.

well i just tried heating the bolts up with a grill lighter for about an hour won't budge. So i just said fuck it i will just spray some heavy amounts of Pb Blaster and let it sit overnight. I will try again tomorrow.

I had to use the torch to get my rusty trailer hitch bolts off ..

On a side note, were using a similar exhaust set up on pretty different cars. I doubt it will sound bad though, thrush mufflers sound a lot like flowmasters.

A lighter won't do it, you need a real torch. If it can't make the nuts glow red, its not gonna do anything.

The noise is the heat shields on the converters. You can just rip those off and the noise goes away. It doesn't mean the cats are bad.

i know one of them has a big dent in it from rocks. I think the cat still may be good don't know if the inside is broken. But still im replacing the whole system. Heck if you or Scott want my old cats you can have them for free.

i got my mufflers on today. the car has a good rumble but it seems quiet does it get loud over time after it's been used for a couple of weeks. I need to keep my cats on so i was wondering if theres a way it will get louder by itself once the packaging in it gets burnt.

any ideas there are no tailpipes or exhaust tips on the car. Is that the problem any ideas.

Mine got louder over time. I love the slash cut tips but I'm not sure how they look on boxes.

Yea but even after they were broken in I wanted it louder so I removed two of the four cats haha.
