    Okay, I heard that from 83-87 the aods' are the same, but 88 and up is a different length. And the only ones that work are the vics and marquis; just something I heard from a local tranny shop. I don't know if it is a fact or not.

      I know from experience that mk VII LSC's are different.......

        lincoln transmissions are different lengths to compensate for the extra length in the nose of the car

          Ohh, okay, cool. I think I found a long block motor, and I've read some other posts on here, and price checked a bit; and came to the conclusion that a rebuild could cost just as much as the long block could, which is roughly $1400.

              Ah, I didn't take that into consideration. Hopefully I will figure something out soon though. It sucks not having a car.

                Explorer longblock ftw. Better heads, better pistons. If you want a different cam, its easy enough to do.
