How to add hp to a worn out engine :)

so, this weekend, did some fiddling. fiddled with the timing, fiddled with the a/f mix, fiddled with removing more emmisions crap.

then, i fiddled with fixing some oil leaks.

that included some valve covers! I just took the pics tonite, kinda forgot about it untill i talked to tom just now. And I am not shitting you, they "added" power. ok, not really adding power, but instead of the oil that was coming through the closure hose (which is supposed to be fresh air inlet into the crank for pcv, not oil output into the intake causing a puddle) going into the intake, it's now filtered

    I CAN NOW DO A FUCKING BURNOUT!!!111!!!

ahem, yea. I shouldnt do a burnout, but it's fun! and i have new ujoints I'll take more pictures tommorow when the exposure time doesnt have to be 10 seconds

    anywho, enjoy

It's easy to do...look at my 87 for example. 200K+ tossed some junk heads that were sitting in my barn, bunch of free stock mustang parts, some aftermarket free mustang stuff and Voila! The fastest vic around.

Which actually kinda sucks. I dumped all this money into the wagon and it's gonna be slower...I know it..

LOl, even my dead stock tons of wieght over the rear wheels wagon will light 'em up. Even with the big 245 rubber on there! Mighta seen it at Scottfest sideways on the wet roads-with the stock gears!

Mine has 208k and will still chirp every once in a while. Doesnt like to with a 10.50 wide tire though.

I can chirp mine no problem from the start, but a burnout will need some work.. first step is that damn IAC valve.. fugging thing.

No one expects that from a vic/marq. I loved the strip shift kit that I put in my old car. sideways 1-2 shift and really chirped/squeeled 2-3. With the lopo motor.

My car usually won't burn tires for shit, but I put it sideways last night in the rain. Came around a corner, car went sideways, i let off the gas, got it going the other way, romped it again and it went sideways the other direction

S.U. won't break 'em free on dry pavement, but the trac-lock and 3.55s are fun on wet streets in the turns. I haven't really gotten on her to really spin 'em, though. Burnt rubber = burnt money. I'm tempted to fry the 14" all-seasons. They have such a narrow tread on 'em that they probably wouldn't take much to turn, but they are practically brand new and once again, burnt rubber = burnt money.

Btw, Blaze, cool vids. I've got to get out there next year to see that machine of yours.
