Gadget73 has a good point on this starting issue. Give'er a shot of ether and see if she fires off. I didn't catch the year and engine configuration of your Panther. Might be vapor locking the fuel system although is not a common issue with high pressure fuel injected systems. I once had an intermittent problem on one of my CVPIs. Same issue, wouldn't fire after being driven 5 or 10 miles. After you had the hood up for a while, she'd fire right up and you could get it home.....it did run a bit weak though. I placed a small ice bag on the ignition module (fender mounted on the 88 CVPI) and tied it to the cable wiring so it wouldn't blow off. I proved the ignition module bad multiple times with the ice bag before spending the dough to fix it. After that, I always carried a spare ignition module.

fuel pressure good and i have a pressure gauge on shrader valve.all i can do now is look for a bad connecter or melted wiring some where in harnessComment

can only start car if i jump the starter relay.cant start car with key any suggestions?.put new coil,new tfi,new pip sensor in distributor,new ignition switch and it dosent start with key it only cranksComment

So the engine won't crank with the key, but if you jump the relay it cranks and starts? The only thing between the starter relay and the ignition switch is the neutral safety switch in the transmission and the wiring harness connectors. Might be worth checking that connector out where it plugs in behind the engine. I've seen those crust up before and cause a no-crank condition.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

power in START on the ignition switch is probably not making proper contact. Check the wires to make sure one didn't get pushed out when you installed the new switch. If the wires are all good there, you may have to trace that one out and make sure it's in one piece all the way.

yeah, sounds like its not getting start power to the TFI module. There are two power feeds in, run and start. Check the wiring on the start side of it. I'd wager you'll find when cranking, it does not get power like it ought to.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

It is in the engine compartment in 89. In the evtm there is a page just after the diagram you posted which has a section called component location. It will refer you to a diagram for fuse link M.

dosent run on its own have to give it some gas to keep it running if i let off gas car shuts off.found fuse link n was busted at c219 connector black which is by the cpu,fuse link m good and is located by the eec relay.Comment

It sounds like the map is broken or not connected electrically and or the vac to map is NG.
A big vac leak?
