the plumbing and controls is pretty much the same EEC-III vs EEC-IV. Slightly different parts but they do the same job and its all a big clusterfuck.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

I did not miss any of that stuff when I took it off the 88 I had.

it managed to be even uglier on the CFI cars. For whatever reason you got the bypass and diverter valves on the fender as well as the control solenoids. by the SEFI era it was just the control solenoids and the other stuff sort of hung in space by the hoses.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Looks a bit different than the mess I had on my '85 CFI, TAD/TAB solenoids look a bit different, MAP sensor too.
What are those relays next to the blower motor?

You'll probably have to buy a normal 5 1/8" air cleaner bottom and cut the hole a little larger.
Your only choices really are a factory CFI cleaner or to make an aftermarket cleaner fit.
