NO.... CFI== the devil!!!!! One time I drive my 84, it runs like a top, next time, it runs like it has one spark plug that keeps coming loose... one time you stop at a light, it is fine.... next time you stop at a light... runs like it is running on seven cylinders.... AAARRGGHHHH!!!!!! I have the intake, need the carb and ignition to get it converted to four barrel!!!!

(When I do the conversion, it will also get the engine TOTALLY detailed....) I'm even going to have the muffler shop that did my duals take the exhaust manifolds off, so I can sandblast them, and coat them with the Eastwood products manifold ceramic coating... to make them look new again... (I have the tools to take them off... but he is only charging me a couple of hours labor to do them, and then I will get a buddy of mine with a tow dolly to bring the car home, so I can paint the block etc... before we put the manifolds back on) And then to clean it up under the hood and make it look good!!!! (this summers project) AFTER I buy one of those pop up shade things, to put over the car.... since all of my fricken trees got blown down last summer.... got to get some shade!!!!

Going to paint hte engine and everything ford blue?

I'd put the "powered by ford" finned aluminum valve covers that were stock on the 80's mustangs on there, too...

        Make it really mustang-like...

Agreed, I'd much rather have my current VV than CFI.

I love those valve covers. I want some for myself, along with one of those dual snorkel air filter housings from the mid-80's carb'd GT's. I can't find the valve covers anywhere, but I did find dual snorkel air filter housing for an outrageous price. Needless to say, I still don't have the air filter housing.

Tom... Now you KNOW they didn't put those on POLEESE cars!!!! I'm doing enough "converting" by changing over to four barrel someday.... but at least that will be concealed by the air cleaner.... Tom!

CFI is freaky but runs well enough when it works. Its just like anything else on these cars. 20 year old BS with bad connections and wiring. I'm getting close to replacing the entire engine bay harness in my car just for this reason. I did the injector harness already, but I would ideally like to replace everything from the ECM outward with a wiring harness that I've pinned out and verified to be clean and OK just so I know its going to work right.
