Hey I'm looking into the future right now, about my transmission. I want something that would get this Towncar really moving like a 4R70W and some 4.10 gears. What's a wide ratio transmission's advantage over a regular AOD gearset?

are you talking about a complete 4r70w swap or an aod with wide ratio planetaries? you can run a 4r70w but you need a bauminator and their valve body to control the shifts
other option which is much cheaper is an aod with 4r70w planetaries...........brian will do em up here for around 1200 installed

The AOD with the planetary gears sounds nice.
