Are all roller hydraulic lifters the same or is it worth it to spend a few more bucks on aftermarket ones vs oem?

I believe I already mentioned this.
I took apart a Ford lifter, and compared it to a TFS lifter I bought. The Ford lifter had a much more rugged lifter cup. The TFS looks a little different on the outside.
