    air shocks [1985 CP]

    ok, on my 85 colony park wagon i got air shocks in the rear coils(the ones u fill up with an air compressor ) and i was jus wondering what the max. p.s.i i should put in them?

    1981 Mercury Marquis Brougham 2-Door 302/ 5-speed -special blend (GMGT)
    1987 Lincoln Mark VII 5-speed (Errand runner)
    1989 Mercury Grand Marquis (Base Runner)
    2007 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited (Hustlyn)
    2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (Down with O.P.P)

    usually the factory says 200 max...

    I would run a max of 120 or so...

      cool, i run 100 max. for my needs!...its amazing the car can tow almost anything! its funny how its a 85 and has a carb.

        cause its a canadian model..

        351W, right? I run around 65-70 in my shocks, gives the car a nice stance...

          i guess, thats what my old highschool teach told me!...i run 65p.s.i in mine!

              i got airshocks on my towncar too.....i run 60 lbs in em

              1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
              2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
              1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.
              1986 Toyota pickup with LSC wheels and 225/60/16 tires.
              2008 Hyundai Elantra future Revcon toad
              1987 TriBurner and 1986 Alaska stokers keeping me warm. (and some pesky oil heat)

                air shocks are amazing, no body can tell if u have bodies in the trunk cuz u can adjust the suspention

                  In all reality, after cargo coils were isntalled, i really have no need for air shocks...

                  cause now, my car has that stance all teh time!

                      I got mine set at 80, cuz thats all that the compressor down at the gas station will put in it. :cuss:

                        That's why I like my Air Ride. I could have several bodies in the trunk and not need to find a gas station with air available. :jumpin:

                          i got a few 50 pound rocks in my trunk for the winter and you'd never know it. its cool when you take em out the back end is all jacked up till you fire up the car the next time

                            Guys at the shop said ine were rated at 125lbs max. They said I should keep about 75-80lbs in.
