I would personally do exhaust first save for the headers (since they won't fit stock heads) then when you drop in a motor have the pipes modded up to accept the headerssigpic

Even better would be to get the rest of the car up to spec before an engine swap. Get some frpp headers, than it won't matter what heads you go with, a mustang H-pipe, then the rest of the exhaust. the 94-95 mustangs use an upper intake that has the throttle body on an angle, i don't know if you could use it in a panther but i dont know for sure.sigpic

If you get a 351 fuel injected, you're gonna need F-150 Lightning set up. Lighting intake and whatnot. Which is almost made of unobtainium/cantaffordium. Explorer 302 is the best bet.Comment

The 351 Windsor v8 used in the late 1990's Ford Trucks have the lighning's intake and whatnot. Should be fine. I like the massive amount of torque they put out. makes my car sound like it has no balls at all.

The Explorer hp figures are skewed because the stock Explorer exhaust is flat out horrible. Those things post 20-30 rwhp gains with just a set of headers. Theres no reason a header ought to do that much good unless what they replace is just pitifully bad, and thats exactly what the stock Explorer manifolds are. A dead stock Explorer engine with Mustang exhaust ought to be good for easily 245. Stick an HO cam in it, and its probably good for a bit more, at a higher rpm.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Put a dry 50 shot of nitrous on it, its not hard to do and make a noticable difference!

well i actually found out what type of motor i will put in there after this one goes. I will put a HO 5.0L 302 in there from a Lincoln Mark VII. The Performance figures on it look good. 225HP and 300 Pounds of Torque.
