looks like those fender crash sensors are the same on the 93. 2 wires and ground to body. One wire goes direct to ground, the other wire goes through the resistor to ground. There's no center one on the 93. Not sure if that center one is actually a crash sensor on yours. If it is... then yours has one more than the early aeros. The 91 towny has a center one, but it's the same as the other two (2-wire w/body ground). I'm not so sure that there's such a thing as a 4-wire crash sensor. I am finding one that uses an 8-wire connector (though it looks like the connector isn't fully populated). Is that the one you have?

Absolutely positive the left and right are two wire and the center is four wire.

        ford part numbers:

        F0AB-14B004-BA (left/driver)
        F0AB-14B005-BA (right/passenger)
        F0AB-14B006-BA (center)

Ford also sold the three in a 'kit', that had a different part number than the above.

Ok, it looks like those are some eight wire sensors. Their part number is F0AB-14B007-BA. Notice it says that they are a 'rear' sensor and go under the dash. So is this the 'fourth' sensor some folks on this thread are talking about?

in that case, yeah, that's probably the safing sensor. And it looks like nobody has the center sensor listed currently. Gonna have to wait for Vic to post the diagrams from his manuals to see if one of the other sensors can be hacked in to fix the problem.

One guy on eBay has the whole 4 sensor set for $99. These are brand new in box.

Here's what I could find in my 91 service manual and EVTM.

First, the troubleshooting procedure for code 9, which pretty much says what has already been said in this thread.

so for the center one, pin 619 and 620 should have resistance across them. 619 should be resistive to the case and 620 should be short to the case. the other 2 should be open.

                        Guys,
Thanks for all the tips, etc. on the codes. I just got a center support today at local salvage yard (pristine 1991 CV is still there!!). Also picked up a nice rearview mirror. Code/light is off now.
