Help Me Decide what color to Paint my Car

I have all the equipment & supplies here and ready,so I'm gonna be painting my 87 pretty soon.I am very, very, very torn between what color to go with.

I need all your opinions as to what color you think would look best on the car, with it having all the chrome and the black vinyl coach roof.

    The Choices are:
    1.Gloss Gunmetal Grey
    2.Gloss Deep Wedgewood Blue
    3.Gloss Jet Black

If someone could photochop this pic of my car into the three colors I provided, that would give me some idea of how it might look.

Keep in mind the car will be painted in base/clear,so the finish will look alot deeper than it does with the semi-flat colors I found.

    Thanks

    lol at the similarities lol.

I always have liked the color yours is, just reminds me of my first one so much. Besides, not many cars can pull it off...

    But if you must... gunmetal.

Personally, I love my color, Medium Shadow Blue Metallic, but everyone has their own tastes. Gloss Jet Black would be my other choice.

That would be ultra-sweet,but I just don't have the skill yet to be able to lay down a pearlescent paintjob I could be happy with.Pearlescent,Candy, and Metallic Paints are the hardest to lay down correctly.

That car would also look great in white, like Pete's 85.

I like the gunmetal. There may be a suprise benifit of painting it gunmetal. I don't know how old your vynil top is or what condition it is in, but even if it's wear is miniscule, it may look a bit grey against deep glossy black paint. However, it will look more black against the gunmetal, and may eventually fade to a colormatch.

Have you heard of Factory 5 Racing? you can get a "kit" that uses all the fox mustang parts and with a 5.0 HO STOCK you can out run a 427 cobra....Amazing! the cost of the "kit" is 13,000 + the cost of the doner GT mustang.

                              Gunmetal - FTW!

Even though I like darker colors,I just can't resist the sweetness that is gunmetal. Also a side benefit of going with a lighter color like Gunmetal Grey is that the body won't have to be in absolutely perfect condition to get good results, like it would with a Gloss Dark Color.

I am gonna keep the Coach top black,If it fades I will be re-dyeing it,If it starts to crack it will be replaced with actual Black Vinyl.Armor All has actually kept it pretty nice though.

Now comes the hard part of saving up all the $$$ for the paint, and booth time. It's gonna look damn nice once it's painted, tinted, polished, and Shoe'd up.
