These bubble flares are giving.me issues, no rent a tool can hold the line....looks like the inside diameter of.my NicCop line seems smaller than the OE steel ones. It's 3/16 brake line, right?

Went.and just bought a pricey brake line tool still 1/7 the cost of someone else doing it.

Replaced rear brake lines with niccopper, I think I said I wish I had a lift about 59 times. Connection to the proportion valve is a bear. Didn't prebend the lines to snake that through the hump on the drivers wheel well... didn't look like I would have room, if I did....ABS doesn't work but the thing stops really well.

Did a Transgo shift kit, and drilling those holes in the valve body is nerve racking. Replaced all the soleniods, including the hard to find TCC soleniod with low ohms....that was a hard part to find. Its been over 200 miles and whatever shudder, hiccup is gone...Def like the shift change. Drain bolt for the tranny pan, now. New neutral saftey switch for shits and giggles. Oil sending unit, no more leaks with a new gasket.

Still have this intermediate complete loss of accelration every 500 miles or so. Car loses power at low speed.. fires up and runs like a champ. EGR passages cleaned, MAP checked ( code157, but didnt trace wiring), TPS good to go, etc. FUEL PRESSURE AT 35. Stumped. CODE 172, but went through 2 cans and no vacc leak. Maybe an intermittent shit fuel pump? Can O2 sensors screw things up? Lean code and rich code as well.

How's that MAF sensor doing? That code is worth investigating. The service manual probably has procedures to investigate.

O2 sensors can cause craziness. Our '02 Tahoe has been crippled each time one wet the bed- but it's an obvious problem we can see with a scanner.

For future reference, the newer (high ohm) solenoid can be used in the older (low ohm) solenoids place. It's the reverse that can't be done. If you use the low ohm solenoid in the newer transmissions, you'll blow fuses or the PCM. Mine is working fine with the newer solenoid. Been almost 85,000 miles since that was changed.

Back probbed the MAF, and got .9V after warming it up..Replaced with OE sensor I kept, at one time RA wanted like $65 for the core....squirt some MAF cleaner and all codes and CEL gone. Screw the Walker crap.

Good info on that soleniod, its much more abundant then the one I got. No hiccups,.no iffy or stalling idle....runs awesome.

Things I need to do;

That damn airbag light, code 52 I found the gray connector in my glove compartment, tried grounding that but it still blinks.

Crack in windshield, only glass I found is in Virginia. All the car- part inventory is bogus.

Recarpet, thinking going vinyl.

Door lock acuator, got a NOS one.

Remember, I have the tools to do a windshield, although I've only done a box windshield. We can always try getting a good windshield from the JY. I believe any CV/MGM windshield '92-'11 will fit, which means plenty of options in the JY still. (Although not nearly as many options as there used to be )
