I never put exhaust on the car. It was the fellow that I got it from that had it put on.

I got Large Marge from Stidman in 2014 or 2015, Traded the 1991 Mark VII Bill Blass even up for Large Marge.
Car was sitting around a lot after moving home to take care of mom, noticed it was getting rusty. sold the car to Phil, he was looking for a wagon for sale.
Took some of the proceeds and bought a 2008 Hyundai Elantra for mom and I to drive, the intentions were to tow it with the motorhome, that never happened. Gave the car to my son in 2020 and he still drives it daily. Very reliable car, over 200,000 miles on it last I worked on it.

How much salt & moisture does that Lincoln see? The aluminized duals I had put on my Town Car almost ten years ago are still holding up well, just surface rust in some areas.

I ended up buying that Mark VII from Stidman a few years after that, with the front end all crashed up. Plan was to stab the HO in my Lincoln, yet that never materialized. Couldn't bring myself to tear either car apart.

Car sits in the driveway. It has not seen salt for at least 15 years, I did daily drive it from 1998 to 2006, I never drove it in the snow unless caught in it when I lived in the mountains from 2006-2017.

The Mark VII was a good car, I put it up for sale after I got the 96 town car and ended up with Large Marge in trade. Sold the 2006 Town Car and the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe for a lot more money than they were worth in 2021. Took some of that and bought a 1996 Town Car. I had the 06 for 7 years and paid $10,000 for it and sold it for $4600. Had the Santa Fe a little over a year, paid $12300 for it and sold it for $15900.

Not having the heart to part a car is how I ended up getting into Panthers. Bought a 1984 Crown Vic cop car for $50 for the 351w. Got the car running and drove it and it handled and drove better than the 1978 cougar xr7 that needed the engine.

That VII was a good car. I remember driving it home, the A/C worked, suspension didn't leak and it ran great. Was practically rust free too. Stidman already acquired 90% of the parts needed to put it back together. My ex-wife really liked it and so I put it back together and her behind the wheel of it. Later sold it when it lost OD and the suspension started being wonky. Now that I'm thinking about it, it died on the road once and then once this shop got it going again, it was never right after that. Pinged badly like the timing was too advanced, yet wouldn't start when set to 10 degrees. Had other stuff going at the time and so out the door it went. Older chick that bought it really liked the Flowmaster sound though.

Oh, if Stidman put that exhaust on, then those mufflers were a couple years older than I thought. Other than those mufflers, the rest of the exhaust is actually still good.

Marge will be doing a little cruising this weekend to Memphis, MI to the in-law's place. Memphis days is this weekend and with lots of yard sales the wife wants to make sure we have room for whatever she might find. Also, I'll be on the lookout for tools and other misc. garage stuff.

Wagons for the win yard sale-ing. You might even have at least one seller strike up a conversation about it.

Lots of compliments and even one lady asked if she could get some pictures, lol. I did get one of the things I was looking for. Scored a 115K BTU torpedo heater for $35 for the garage. Tested it out and it works great.

Put 120 miles on yesterday driving to and from work. Handled the drive no problem so I took Marge to work again today.

Marge certainly got a workout this week, 360 miles Tuesday-Thursday to and from work.
Sunday when I was cruising with Marge I could tell that she just wasn't as peppy as she should be. I made sure to check the timing Sunday evening since I had swapped dizzy and coil to The Scab and then back earlier in the week. It was at 8 degrees which is pretty good for eyeballing it. Bumped to 12-13 and she was much more responsive during the daily grind this week.

Since I'm not getting to the HPPs this year that I want to put back on here, and since The Scab isn't going anywhere anytime soon, I swapped the '98 teardrop wheels from The Scab to Marge.
