Is that a former cop car? Just wondering because of the 140 speedo and carburetor.

      Yes, actually it is.....lol
It was bought at a police auction from the Kentucky State Police...Some mystery engine they have runnin' here....lol

Oh well, I have came to the decision of:
A-Build the fuck out of the current 180hp beast...hehe

      or

      B-Get a 351w crate engine I have found that comes STOCK with 351 hp....Decisions....Decisions....

      I am still contemplating a T5 tranny swap or a perhaps a 6-speed......More to come...I promise....

      Thanks all-

          *UPDATE*

Also, along with the carb adjustment, Dad also turned the Dizzy counter-clockwise a little and it helped, also turns out another part of the hesitation is the octane in the gas was too low....A bottle and a 1/2 of STP Fuel Additive and it ran almost as good as fuel injection...TIll I shut it off at work, then after the gas settled it started the hesitation all over.... Any ideas on how to keep the octane higher for longer?

          Thanks all-
          Wes

What's the octane rating of the gas you're running? Doesn't take much when your compression ratio is 8.3:1 lol

I run El Cheapo 87 octane cos I cant afford 93.....I would safely say I was running around a 9:5:1 or a 10:1....rofl...he more I have been driving the car the better it has been running...huh...Must just be bugs,,,

Oh well..I am proud of Gladys.....She out ran a mid 90's Camaro on top end...Poor lil guy had a look of utter confusion, and disdain that I have NEVER seen on someone before.....

                  * MAJOR UPDATE *

Welp, I found the source of the hesitation in me engine...It was the FUEL DELIVERY....lol

Palm-to-head...I had me suspicions though...A new fuel pump, and a couple new filters SHOULD straighten out all the lil kinks in the car.......

MoreLater, and yes, laugh at me all ye want cos I didnt know what was goin on in the damn thing....

That car is looking good. You'll get a lot of attention when you get it painted, especially with the engine set-up that you got.

I have to wait until May 16th for my Trans Am splitter tips to come in the mail. I'll probably install them after the car gets painted in early June.
