Well, the '04 Vic is gone

I traded it a couple days ago for this 2002 F250 Crew Cab 4x4 Diesel. I still have the ol' Town car though, so I'm not without a Panther, lol. Anyway, here are the pics.

Looks nice. I used to have a 77 F350 but I traded it for an 84 Crown Vic. Huh, I just realized how weird this is.

Don't you have a box Crown Vic, too, presumably an '86? Or is that gone?

Nice truck. Is that an Infiniti in the garage?

7.3 Diesel? I like the sound better than the 6.0/ 6.4, but the performance was no where near the newer ones. Is that a 4 spd auto too?

I used to have a box- an '87. I sold that a few months ago. Just no time for it.

Yeah, that's my mom's infiniti. She's been wanting to get rid of it for a Mercedes lately though. My stepdad and I have been trying to convince her to get a new Lincoln MKZ.

It's tough to decide which one I like better sound-wise. The 7.3 just sounds so huge, but that 6.0 turning 4000 rpm through some 6" stacks... Sounds so awesome.

did they fix the problems with the 6.0? i've heard it had a lot of reliability issues when they first came out. No real need for a diesel to wind to 4 grand anyway, they're all about low end torque. Just need tall gears and you're set.

They can turn better than 4K. They did have some problems. the turbos have been the major issue, but that was also a problem on the later 7.3's. my brother popped a turbo on his 7.3 '02 Excursion. His work truck ('05 F350) with the 6.0 blew out a turbo with only 5K miles on it. The 6L was a far zippier engine than the 7.3.

The other way that they fixed the 6L was by bringing out the 6.4L TT. We shall see how they do; there were already some early recalls about something.

That thing is beautiful! I love the Super Duty's in Crew Cab/Short Beds. And the color...

I think you made a good trade. 4WD trucks hold their value very well.

I like manual tranny's in mine though.
