Well it is being built one piece at a time. But it's costly me plenty of dimes!!

I've been sick all week and haven't worked on the 54 at. Which sucks the weather has been great ( couldn't get sick when the weather was crappy ) .

I thought I was feeling a little better today so I tried to do some work on it. All I got done was a rough cut on the driver side firewall plate. After that I had to pack it in for the day.

I'm hoping I'll start feeling better so I can get something done on it.

People will know it's you when you come through their town. You're gonna ride around in style, gonna drive everybody wild, cuz you'll have the only one there is around.

Ok, I don't know about all of that but if I ever finish it I'll have a one of kind ride.

I haven't done any work on the 54. I don't know why but I just kind of burnt out on it. :nonono:

I found this wreck for sale so I picked it up mainly for the box and rear fenders. It's a 1956 Ford F250 custom cab. It's in pretty rough shape. But there are a few parts on it that I could try and sell. It's got a 223 inline 6 with a Fordomatic transmission. And it's got 17.5" rims. So if you see or need anything off it let me know. It all has to go!

They seem to find me! I do a lot of looking/surfing. Craigslist, epay, a bunch of other online classifieds, word of mouth ( you know a friend of a friend told a friend who told me ) or just seeing one sitting in a yard or field while driving down the road.

It's only got the front plate on it. All the paint is gone off it. It is a 1974 plate ( last time the truck was on the road, a year before I was born ) . It use to be white with the read letters/numbers and border like a couple of the other plates you got from me. If you want it you can have it. Sometime when I've got some extra cash I'll throw it in a padded envelope and send it your way.

I like your 67. It makes me miss my old 72 F100 shortbox.

Are those 17.5" wheels steelies? I would love some wide steelies, but I have no vehicle that I could put some one since my Silverado is going. Since it's a 3/4 ton i'm guessing 8 lug wheels? I don't know if they did that back then, maybe 6 lug?

I guess you could call them steelies. But these are not wide ( maybe 5" ). And they are 8 lug.

Ouch, those look rough. They could use a sandblaster and coat of paint, not really worth it for 5" wide wheels unless you like original parts. Are those the original bias ply tires too? I expected a bit worse if they are, even though they're trash.

Rough? I've seen worse looking rims on a 10 year old truck. These rims look pretty damn good for being 53 years old and on a Minnesota truck!!

The tires aren't the factory originals but they are bias plys. They've been on the truck since atleast 1974 when it was parked.

I've had a bunch of crap going on ( other vehicle repairs, being sick, being broke or just not feeling like working on it ) most of the summer. so I haven't done much of anything on the 54.

I made a minor change to my plans. I decided for what I need I could live with the stock Dana 50 twin traction beam front diff assembly on the 84 F250 chassis ( instead of swapping in the stronger Dana 60 out of the 87 F350 ) . So I sold the D60 to get some cash for some other parts.

I got 3 more gauges I needed for my 54 for birthday gifts. I got the Tach, oil pressure and the vacuum gauges. So I've only got one more to get. I still need to pick up the matching speedometer.

Hopefully later this week I'm going to start pulling the body off the 84 F250.

I sure hope you got at least a grand for that D60, seems to be the going price for those in good condition.

Nope, quite a bit less. I tried getting a grand for it, no luck. I even listed it with all the suspension, steering parts, track bar with brackets and all the other frame brackets for it, No luck. I even tried including the matching Sterling 10.25" with it for a grand, no luck.

It should have been worth a grand. But parts are only worth what a buyer is willing to pay for them.
