ID:	1269099 Really moving along now! Rear Swaybar & LCAs on! Creakng and popping noises, seems the driver's side rear shock is not attached, the top nut is off, and gone, so that means NEW REAR shocks! KYB gas-a-just GR2s, dad's getting them from summit this evening and they go on tomorrow. Hopefully I'll never have to do shocks on either car ever again!

Rear shocks on, mechanical gauges installed (except need a brass adapter for the coolant temp sensor).

Apparently... the fuel filter was on backwards? the soup can end was pointed towards the back of the car... was this in backwards for any special reason? Anyway I had a new fuel filter sitting around from waaaay back when I had my red 85 tudor. Googled '91 Grand Marquis fuel filter, clicked shopping, and two different ones, 1 said 83-97 & other brand said 85-98, so I figured I was safe putting it on either way.

Once I wire everything up, I'll hook up the battery and make sure everything like the fan, radio, lights, etc works. Then it's into the transmission shop! May 8th! (my birthday)

No reason to be backwards. Most likely a flub on my part hmmm. Never had any problems with it.

Well, when you're pushing 255 lph I guess it would still run regardless if the thing was in backwards or not.

Chitownvic, no open header vid in the cards, sorry anybody else looking forward to that as well. Maybe go to work on someone & convince them to put cutouts in their exhuaust system!

Anyway, more news as it happens, stay tuned.

Are you planning on adding muffler in eventually or just run pipe? The more I see other setups, makes me realize how bad my exhaust is, I mean it's far better than stock but even the lopo can wake up a bit when it can breathe. I kinda want to do the same exhaust I have now, only with Mustang parts and see how much beefier it sounds.

              Btw vids if you can

Right now I've got straight pipes all the way back through. I figure it'll be easy for any exhaust shop to put in offset mufflers in the future if I decide I want them. $50 a pop for knock-off flowmasters where I had the exhaust done. I paid $438 or so (with 2 tows) but that included a painted exhaust.

I still have the damn 2.5" cherry bombs (29.5" long) I bought that the guy said were too long for him to put in without a bunch of extra work & hanging a lot lower.

He also put "for racing, no cats, no mufflers" on the bill to cover his ass legally.

I'll definitely get some vids, asap. May video the drive home tomorrow, with a slight detour thru a tunnel or something! Stay tuned!

Should sound good. I know it sounded awesome with the slp lm1's on it, which are basically no mufflers lol.

that exhuast guy is something else i had 31 inch thrush glass packs on my ride before i got my turbo muffler and now have 26 inch cherrybombs now my stuff is all bolt on and i put the old thrushpacks on with no issues to the stock down pipes so im not sure how that works out. no reason why he counldnt do the same.

I know he was bullshitting me, but at that point, I just wanted the damn thing done. I *was* supposed to get it to him the previous week, and he was pretty good about working it in this week. Maybe I'll just have to save the cherry bombs for my other '91, when it needs a dual exhaust!

Exhaust, with it running, revved a couple times.

I'm on vacation this week, so I took her down by work, and saw some guys I worked with out smoking. Waved to them as I sat at the light, then my foot on the brake, revved it up a little, maybe halfway? Tires broke loose and rear end started walking to the right! I'm gonna have to take it easy until I get some practice in with this car.
