This is my ride! I purchased it about a year ago for $1,200. It has 158,000 on it, but it has been fairly well maintained since new. I had a bit of a rough start with her after I found out both head gaskets were blown. But after a resurface and new gaskets, and few new sensors and little things, it runs like new!

Bad luck with the head gaskets, that's a pretty unusual failure. Glad you put the money and time into getting her runnign right. She looks like a beauty. A fellow member of the blue velour club, too.

Thanks! It was an older lady who owned it, and from the looks of the newer water pump; I would say the water pump went out and it overheated. Since they have no temperature gauge, she probably drove it until it got hot! I love the blue velour. My wife was against the car at first until she saw those velvet couches! LOL

Yeah, the white with the dark blue top seems kind of unique! Packman, the F350 is mine also. Currently, the MGM is my wife's driver. We had a Dodge (shudder) Durango for her, but after endless repairs; she decided she liked the Merc, and we sold the D. My daily is an 88 Ranger 4x4 2.9L 5 spd. The F350 has a 460 and a 5 spd. and is our hauler for our 12 foot camper, quads, firewood, or whatever.

I set the timing at about 12.5* a couple days ago! I couldn't believe the difference! Even the wife noticed it. She asked me if I did anything different because she kept chirping the tires around town today.
Next I am going to convert over to the factory dual exhaust. I managed to find the factory replacement walker tail pipe for the driver side on ebay, and summit racing carries the factory h pipe believe it or not! Not going to do anything crazy, but i will probably run some good turbo mufflers or something. I know the factory stuff is only 2 inch, but I am not planning any serious mods for this car. I have a mustang gt for that!!

Yeah trust me, if I had the money sitting around, I would do a full ho swap. I just cant justify it yet. Svt98, that is a sweet price! I work for a parts store and get everything at cost, and for me it would still be around $100. We can only get it special order though, so it is cheaper to just go through summit.
