Update may 18th im going to bring larisa home I decided to get it towed home so I can do the sefi
Swap myself to learn how to do it. Basically im going to kill 2 birds with one stone I am picking up from
The junkyard just the tv cables and a eec iv harness and explorer upper and lower intakes and a explorer
Cam. The plan is to swap my town cars lopo sefi system to my mark vi and make the town car swapped to HO.
This way i will save money plus both lincolns will become different animals. The mark vi will eventually become
HO once i get an explorer motor for it since the 1982 block i dont believe is roller compatible. Stay tuned
For pics and updates when the swap begins. Also got a storage unit for my lincolns during spring summer,
And fall the Mark VI will be the daily driver and the town car goes into storage. During winter time the town car
Comes daily driver and the mark vi gets stored for the winter and if only an emergency situations will it come out fo
Winter like if the town car breaks down or needs servicing and vice versa with the town car coming out during
Spring, summer and fall if the mark breaks down or needs servicing. The storage unit is a closed unit so it will
Protect the vehicles exterior and interior from mother nature.

I see your logic, and maybe a decent plan. The only hiccup is if something goes wrong during your HO conversion on the TC, you have nothing to drive. Having two cars torn apart and not driveable isn't fun.

Also, I'm no expert but for a full HO conversion don't you need at least E7 heads (Stang, Mark VII) and a different computer?

Unless you changed them, I believe that LOPOs got E6 heads.

I'm talking to myself! Looks like you can leave the E6 heads and you will lose about 25HP (compared to E7s) and essentially have an 86 Mustang Engine.

Don't forget to pickup the 19lb injectors!

Got 19lbs injectors in my parts bin. I might pick up online a set of gt40p heads since im going to be
Near the heads might swap them shouldnt be too hard. Now can my e6 heads go on my mark vi i
Know there better than the d9 heads on it now.

the Mark is flat tappet... I wouldn't even screw with it. Just swap the whole thing with an SEFI roller... like one of the previous owners did with my Mark. total greatness.

The mark can be swapped to sefi by only using a eec iv distributor which I am getting from john sexton
                          It should work ok.

Like sly said, its a total waste of time and parts to do a SEFI conversion on that shitty ass 302. This is what happens when you get too excited...you make dumb decisions. And this is how alot of shit boxes end up on the road because, people cant wait to drive it and then cut corners. It's much easier doing a complete motor swap. It will also make your car that much more reliable.

plus a good JY engine is pretty easy to come by up there.
