Well, I'm sad to say it's all over. The insurance company settled up with a check for $944. I junked the car the other day and got another $340 bucks. The part that really sickens me is how nice the car was. I could never get one with such low miles (66,900 when I got it, 91,600 when it was hit) for 1300 dollars. Yea it had it's problems (It had some rust on the bottom of the front doors, only noticeable when they were open and It still leaked a little oil, although I fixed all the other leaks about 6 months ago). The motor ran like a top and the tranny shifted firm and flawlessly though. Anyway here's some pictures for old times sake(The pictures were taken about 18 hours before the accident, I remember I had an ominous feeling when the picture was taken, I guess you can see it in my face)
I stripped a ton of parts. Not as many as I would have liked since the junkyard deducts for stripping metal, but I took most of the interior, and all the lights, and some trim. Oh and the rear seat cushion too, so I can still sit in the car in a weird way. I'm not sure what's worth holding onto for the future and what to sell. I know it'll be many years before I get another box, but then again, who knows

Sorry to see that happened to ya. I lost my '87 to a dipshit driver awhile back. I know it sucks after putting in so much work on the old girl, but eventually you will find another one to love again. Literally over a million of these where made over the years, I can guarantee you that there is another mint low-mileage one out there for ya, probably sitting inside of some old persons garage right now.
