    My "new" 1989 Country Squire

The paint on this car is amazing for a 24 year old car, all the woodgrain vinyl on the sides is perfect(the wood trim is great on one side and losing it's coating on the other). It's got a 3.55L axle and dual exhaust since it's a towing package.
    Anyway, on to the pics:

For the time being, I am just going to clean it up. The previous owner was an old guy and probably hasn't had an interest in an interior detail in some time.
I'll probably get at least the rear tinted, I checked out another wagon and all the plastic in the back was pretty faded since it spent most of its time outside. This car was previously garaged but I don't have that luxury.

This is extremely common on wagons. Whatever plastic Ford made those back panels out of sucks and turns to crap.

          Beautiful car!

I know it sounds cliche but "they don't make 'em like that anymore"....and they never will again. Always nice to see one in such great condition.

Sooooo much nicer than my first Squire (a 73 with a 400 engine). What a great find!

              Alright another wagon!
              I miss mine.

My mom's 87 Country Squire had the same peeling on the trim, hers was also well maintained by an elderly owner. I'm guessing being garage kept and older owerns not driving it as much probably kept the peeling plastic from coming all the way off while driving down the road.

My 88 CS had the same type of seats that you have. As for the plastic panels in the interior rear I remember mine being kind of crumbly on the surface.

It looks like it is in great condition for a NY car.

Wow. That thing is in amazing shape, esp from being up North. The plastic in my 91 is dusting badly too. Probably will gut the disintegrating plastic trim and have it recovered in similar cover vinyl to make it last. The plastic in my 87 looks brand new and isn't dusting, and it's been in the same condition as the 91 - parked outside in the sun with tinted windows. Weird.

The guy was excited to tell me about the seats, it was the optional "duraweave" covering. I have the window sticker with everything listed.

                        nice find!
ditto the rear plastic. I have dust wafting off of the two humps (where the rear speakers/ spare tire are) in back. But, they don't seem to crack or warp, so that's something.

lol, I didn't think that they were anything special but I also haven't seen too many with that seat option.
