Fits well enough for me. These weren't very space hungry drivers, but they did want a "huge" port volume. If I would've went with a circlular port I would've probably been a little better off. And I didn't want to mess with making fancy shapes, I just wanted a square.

Silly question - will KYB shocks work with the stock coils in there? I was looking at getting slightly better shocks as my rears are non existent and while I like a bouncy ride...

that's what I'm currently using in my 93 (stock springs). The civi shocks (only option in the rear) will keep the float but will hold the road well as it will keep the tires from bouncing.

Kilgore I use the KYB gas adjust purchased from Rock Auto and they are great on these rotten roads of Las Vegas in spite of all of the construction.

I know know the back end shouldn't bottom out whenever I sit on the car's trunk. That means I get to cut out some shocks here soon.......ugh.

I wasn't sure if the gas-a-justs were actually a performance improvement or if they were just expensive branding of the cheap monroe shocks.

Sounds more like springs. They are easy if you are doing the shocks anyway.

I think it's a large mix of warn out suspension parts. Sadly unless I find cheap wagon coils it will be a while.

Hey guys, what is the switch on the proportioning valve called that will illuminate the idiot light on the dash? Does it have hydraulic pressure going inside of it?

                  Comment

it works off the shuttle valve. Not sure what the switch itself is called. It doesn't have pressure through it though. The shuttle valve moves and pushes on the switch to turn on the light. The shuttle moves only if there is some gross imbalance of pressure front to rear, basically meaning if you blow a line it moves and the light comes on.

Alright well it is leaking all around there. Not on any of the hard lines, right around the switch area.

Dual exhaust done, proportioning valve jerry-rigged, twas a good day.

Don't know if you can just get that or not. It probably is exposed to some amount of pressure, but pressure isn't what actuates it.

from what ive read that means the whole proportioning valve ate it. I have a temporary fix of jb welding the ass out of the sensor to keep it from leaking through the sensor and i have made silicone joints at all of the brake lines. Seems to be holding at least a bit bertter now.

If someone has a proportioning valve i would love to buy it form sonmeone

                              Junkyard?

Even if it is slightly crusty you can just cut the lines on the donor car real short and get on the nuts with a true hex head deep well, spin those mammer-jammers right off.

So more brake quandaries because apparently this whole system was dicked well before I got to it.

So I just used a metric shitonne of silicone and rebled the brakes last night and then went for a ride. Whenever I had some hard acceleration the brakes would come back to me, then when i was doing a bunch of loafing around the brakes would get squishier and squishier.

Today drivign to school (45 degrees or so) I had complete use of brakes. Felt like a normal cars should.

Whenever I am on the highway my brakes feel correct. Whenever I come off of the highway I have a couple of good stops before it goes squishy again.

Ummmmmm. Idk what is going on but I would like some help. I'm at my wits end with the damn brake system atm and if I wasn't so in love with the exhaust note I would be sending it to the junkyard out of frustration (well maybe not that far...)

Anyways, I've been teasing you guys with news of glasspacks, here are two poorly shot videos of my exhaust. Sorry I am holding the phone wrong, it is hard to landscape while driving.
